BLANCHARD Sisson
Sisson Blanchard was born in 1929 in Trouin, a small village in the mountains of southern Haiti. Migrating to Port-au-Prince, Blanchard found work as a gardener at the Centre d'Art. He began painting in 1948 encouraged by DeWitt Peter and by Jason Seley, an American sculptor . Sisson Blanchard died in the early 1980's.
