His real name is Harry Jacques and he was born in August 1937 in Gonaïves. He studied architechture and he joined the workshop of Sacha Thébaut, a painter and sculptor, who taught him the technic of "encaustic", a mixture of wax, turpentine and pigments. He is one of the haitian impressionists.
