Gabriel ALIX was born in Saint-Marc in November 1930. His good friend Hector Hyppolite introduce him to Dewitt Peters in 1946 and he joined the "Centre d'Art". He was one of the masters of jungle scenery. He painted also religious subjects and animals. He died in 1998.
