Pierre Louis Riché was born in 1954 in Cap Haitien. He starts to paint when he was 20 years old. His favourite topic is historical events. He is a pupil of Philomé Obin. In 1973, he found a new style called "the big potatoes": oversize people who covers the all canvas. He live in Port-au-Prince.
Compared to Botero, he swears that he has never seen a painting of the colombian artist.
